Emotional health leads to physical health

Winter is outdoors, and stretches backwards with her arms above her head.
With her eyes closed and her hands on her knees, Winter sits crosslegged on the grass in a tropical setting.

The philosophy behind Move with Love is that emotional health leads to physical health. In Qigong, we believe emotions are just as important as your environment, genetics, lifestyle, etc. in terms of your wellbeing and overall quality of life.

Move with Love classes are different because they focus on intention, body awareness, and movement to get the energy flowing and to help students feel clear, centered, and ready to take on the day! Hopefully, students will leave with some tools to improve their mental and physical health.

My teaching style is supportive and calming. Current students have remarked positively about my easy demeanor, calming voice, and well-organized teaching style. My goal, as a teacher, is to get the energy flowing and to help my students connect with deeper aspects of themselves so that they can feel renewed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Mindfulness Blog

This blog focuses on wellbeing and mindfulness. Together, we will explore philosophical and self-care topics to help us broaden our perspectives and learn more about ourselves and each other. Blog topics include “Limiting Beliefs, Surrender, Self-worth, Relationships, Forgiveness, Minimalism, Grounding” and more!

About the Founder

Hi, I’m Winter. My Qigong journey started in 2017 when I was in college looking for a way to ease my anxiety and increase my overall health. I started taking Tai Chi, Northern Shaolin Style Martial Arts, and Qigong classes near my college. A few years later, I became certified to teach Qigong, which included a teacher training immersion in Thailand.

Qigong happens to combine everything that I love: creative expression, wellness, and living in harmony with nature and all beings. Learning Qigong has been similar to learning a new language — learning a new way of communicating with myself and the world around me. My goal, as a teacher, is to get the energy flowing and to help my students connect with deeper aspects of themselves so that they can feel renewed physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

Qigong practices integrate mindfulness, gentle movements, body tapping, self-massage, and more to create a deeper feeling of peace and inner harmony. Practices are designed to relax physical and emotional tension, discover subconscious behavioral patterns, and create space between thought, emotion, and reaction.
